In 1976, joined High Mead Engineering as
Apprentice Heating Engineer, working on design and project engineering
for a wide variety of commercial and industrial buildings. |

Joined Sheffield City Council in 1982 as
Technician, promoted to Assistant Engineer in 1983, Senior Engineer in
1985 and Team Leader in 1988. |
|
Promoted to Principal Mechanical Engineer in
January 2000, responsible for a team of Engineers, Technicians and
Surveyors engaged in the survey, design and project management of
building services systems. |
|
Started
JSH Consulting in 2002, with
specific responsibility for mechanical engineering design and project
management. |
|
Recent
projects include the design and
supervision of installation of mechanical services i.e. hot and cold
water, gas, heating, ventilation and air conditioning to a wide range
of domestic and commercial premises including:
- Housing (low and high rise)
- Multi storey office accommodation
- Fire and Police Authority premises
- Educational establishments
- Sports and Leisure facilities
- Care homes
- Healthcare Premise

systems, heat recovery and passive engineering, thermal, daylighting and CFD modeling, and Building Regulation Parts J and L compliance. |
